David A. Burrus, 75, of Des Plaines, Illinois, passed away at 3:25 pm, Friday, December 26, 2025 at Endeavor Health  Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Visitation for David will be Friday, January 2, 2025, 1:00 pm - 3:00  pm , with services to follow at 3:00 pm, at Trinity Lutheran Church, located at 675 E. Algonquin Road, Des Plaines, Illinois.  Services for David to conclude at church.

David was born April 5, 1950, in Oak Park, Illinois; the son of David and Ardell (nee Fischer) Burrus.  David was preceded in death by both of his parents and his loving sister Linda.

David is the loving husband of Kathie (nee Oke) Burrus; beloved father of Elizabeth (Dale) Hooton; devoted grandfather of Graham and Ivy; fond uncle of Brian Delafuente, Justin (Krystal) Delafuente, Andrew ( Ma Joan) Delafuente, Katelin (Allen) Cummins and Steven (Elise) Plum.
