Rose Shilskey 92 passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025. Rose was born on November 15, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois to Luko and Florence (Vito) Mundo. She married her husband Al Shilskey on November 15, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois.
Rose worked as Credit Union Manager for Motorola for over 20 years. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and dear friend to so many. Rose always had a smile for everyone she came in contact with.
Rose's focus in life was her profound faith and her family, and through these she left an indelible mark on their lives. She will be dearly missed, her memory treasured by all who knew her.
Rose is survived by her children Kathleen Wojtanek (Late Michael), Karen Barnes (Jim) Kristine Richards (Rob), Rosanne Cornett (Wally), Flo Zeitler (Bill), Susan Keyzer (Tom) and Alan (Guy Fortier) As well as cherished grandchildren, Steve Dorsey (Cori Lynn), Taylor Williamson (Cody), Cindy Odell (Late Joshua), Cristy Becker (Scott), Meredith Cornett, Megan Diamond (Yoav), Nicholas Blair and Stephanie Augsburg (Greg) great-grandchildren Devin, Brandon, Kyle, Hayley, Arianna, Gabriel, Alex, Sophie, Dylan, Andrew, Stella, Maria, Robert, Jack, Emma & Avery and great-great grandchildren Gavin, Clara, Emmett, Brooks, Declan, Emma, Carter, Luna, Noah and Lillith.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband Al Shilskey, her parents, her 3 brothers Martin, Anthony, James and her 3 sisters Marie, Theresa and Angeline.
A celebration of life will be held at the Des Plaines Elks Lodge, 495 Lee Street on Saturday July 26, 2025, Catholic service to begin at Noon with luncheon following.
